All the cool kids at the writing conference
I’m in Chicago trying to go to AWP, but they unexpectedly “sold-out” of registrations this year. Every year previous to this one, we were allowed to sign up once we got here. So now I am sitting watching everyone else walk around with important cool kid badges and tote bags. I plan on sneaking in. But I’m still pissed.

Woke up to an email from a student telling me her boyfriend thinks the bumps on her might be scabies, so she probably shouldn’t come to class… So really whatever happens today, at least I don’t have mysterious bumps that an unqualified guy told me could be scabies. And I didn’t send any informative, unnecessary emails about it.
